PRINT INFORMATION

Limited Editions

Photographs from Somewhere in Monochrome are offered in carefully produced limited editions.

Each released photograph is limited to 15 numbered prints across all sizes, plus 2 Artist Proofs. The edition is shared among all available sizes rather than creating separate editions for each format.

Once all 15 numbered prints have been acquired, the edition is permanently closed.

Printing & Materials

Each photograph is produced as an archival pigment print using museum-quality fine-art materials selected for their tonal range, detail, and longevity.

Paper is chosen specifically to complement the character of the black-and-white image, with particular attention given to shadow detail, tonal separation, and the quality of the blacks.

We should revise this section with the exact paper and printer specifications after you've approved the physical proofs.

Sizes

Prints are generally offered in three sizes:

Small — approximately 12 × 18 inches
Medium — approximately 16 × 24 inches
Large — approximately 24 × 36 inches

Dimensions refer to the image area. Each photograph is printed with a surrounding paper border.

Because the original compositions are preserved without cropping, exact dimensions may vary slightly according to the aspect ratio of the photograph.

Signed & Numbered

Each numbered print is individually inspected and signed by Don Scott Carpenter.

The title, edition number, and signature are recorded on the print. Edition numbers indicate the print's place within the complete edition—for example, 3/15.

Certificate of Authenticity

Every numbered print is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity documenting the photograph's title, edition number, dimensions, printing process, and other identifying information.

The certificate and corresponding edition record provide a permanent record of the work.

Artist Proofs

Two Artist Proofs—designated AP 1/2 and AP 2/2—are reserved outside the numbered edition.

Artist Proofs are identical in production quality to the numbered edition and may be retained by the artist, exhibited, gifted, or made available separately at the artist's discretion.

Production

Each photograph is printed to order and individually inspected before it leaves the studio.

Please allow approximately 2–3 weeks for printing, inspection, signing, and preparation for shipment.

Framing

Prints are currently offered unframed, allowing collectors to select framing appropriate to their space and personal preference.

For preservation, professional archival framing using acid-free materials and UV-filtering glazing is recommended.

Shipping

Prints are carefully packaged using archival and protective materials appropriate to their size.

Shipping charges and delivery estimates are calculated separately. International collectors are responsible for any applicable customs duties, taxes, or import fees.
